You are drawing your conclusions based on one merge scenario out of many
that the dialog has to handle. The point of the dialog is that you select
the specific range revisions you are choosing to merge. If you do that,
you will get the correct results. Please save the editorials. If you
think this is easy, then get off your butt and contribute something.
