Your stack trace says you are using the CLI adapter. Re-read my comments.

AFAIK. JavaSVN handles this OK, if not post an issue with them. JavaSVN is
included in our next version. I am not tryin to steer you away from using
it, I just do not think you are.

Finally, yes JavaHL supports ssh. We now have good info on this in our
FAQ.
