Yes, very much so. It is, however, a flaw we've all lived with for many
years now, so when it's fixed, we need to bear it in mind in future
designs. Principle of least surprise.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I only got involved in that case after the
fact, when he came to me asking why "updating deleted his work".

I certainly read it, and I encouraged the team to read it. I can't say
for sure if everyone did.
