0.9.31 requires Subversion 1.2. I was seeing the same thing you were
seeing a bit (although, only with 0.9.31) and since moving to JavaSVN,
it has gone away. You're going to have to grab it from TMate's SVN,
but the build is easy and just works (thanks TMate!).
