Hi,
I just moved to Subversion from CVS. The client I'm using is Subclipse
for Eclipse. So far I've encountered two problems:
1. Every time I open the project, Eclipse will build the workspace even
if there is no change at all. The building also seems to be slower than
when I was using CVS. It's pissing my coworker off. Has anybody
encountered the same problem?
2. In CVS resource history, you are able to see both the revision and
tag. So it's pretty easy to find out which revision was tagged as which
tag. It's really handy when we need to fix a bug in a previous
iteration because we tag every iteration. So far, I haven't find a
quick way to associate revision with tag in Subclipse. I know there
must be a reason that Subversion or Subclipse doesn't do it. I'm just
wondering if there is an alternative way because this is pissing off the
same guy I mentioned above and he's a big guy...
Regards,
Simon
