I seem to recall that there is some method you are supposed to call
initially that cause svnClientAdapter to check for and load the available
adapters. It doesn't look like you are doing that step. I do not know
what it is off the top of my head because the code for it was all written
before I started on this project.

Look at the Subclipse core plugin to see what it does.
