I don't know and I'm not longer able to reproduce the problem.

I had this kind of problem using
Server: Subversion 1.0.6 (Linux) (http-Access)
Clients: Eclipse 3.0 / Subclipse 0.9.30 / Linux and Win32

The problem does not longer appear with
Server: Subversion 1.2.0 (Linux) (http-Access)
Clients:
  * Eclipse 3.0 / Subclipse 0.9.30 / Linux
  * Eclipse 3.1M5 / Subclipse 0.9.31 / Win32
