Eclipse folders

When branching a project in CVS in Eclipse it seems to create another
name for the project.

With svn of just prefer to create a new folder off the root and
copy a the branch there with the same name of the modules.

However when I check out these modules or projects or whatever we want
to call them, and there is another module with same "module" name
Eclipse threatens to overwrite the module in the workspace.

I thought I would get around the problem, by just checkout out the whole
branch. But then another problem arises. The branch is considered a
project, but not the folders.

Any thoughts?
