Mainly just the UI. The Synch UI is part of the Eclipse API, so we have
tried to support it. Some people really want it and feel it is a necessary
feature. While I have contributed a lot of the code to make it "work", I
personally use commit/update exclusively.

Synch would be nice if you had a need/requirement to preview an update.
