Oh, ok. Either way there is a potential mismatch, either between
subclise and javahl.jar or javahl.jar and the .so. I guess the
documentation just needs to note when the changes are too incompatible
and which versions are acceptable.

Good point. Yeah, I guess if the JNI header files don't change binary
compatibility then it wouldn't be an issue.
