Subclipse depends on having the Subversion binaries installed and
available. At a minimum, the Subversion command line client has to be
available, but ideally you also have the Subversion JavaHL bindings as
well. I am not aware of anyone that provides binaries for Solaris, so you
would have to build Subversion and JavaHL yourself from source.
An alternative, is that you can also install something called JavaSVN into
Eclipse. This provides a 100% Java replacement for the JavaHL bindings
and would allow Subclipse to work without having Subversion installed. You
