RE: Attaching Subclipse to an already existing working copy

When I did a Team->Share Project, it asked me to pick a repository and said
my project would be automatically imported to the repository. I just want to
attach an existing WC and not have it imported

Generally speaking, yes. You just do Team -> Share Project. We recognize
that it is already a WC, and offer to just "hook it up" to Subclipse. You
might need to define a repository connection prior to doing this. Not
sure.

All that being said, this might only work if your entire workspace is on
the Samba share. If the workspace is local and you are using the "Linked
Resources" feature of Eclipse, then I do not think it works.

As with the previous question on the error messages, this is a Subversion
issue. We are simply consumers of their API. This sort of thing would be
up to the API. You can report it to them, however, they have said in the
past that this is an issue they will not address, even when working
entirely on UNIX. Using a SAMNA share from Windows obviously adds an
additional layer of complication.
