Your message only references TortoiseSVN, but I would assume Subclipse
would have the same issues. This is the good and bad of Subversion. It
has this great API that everyone uses, but that also means we all have the
same limitations and error messages. This error message comes from
Subversion. The best thing would be to reproduce it with the svn co
command line command. Then report it on the Subversion mailing list. The
developers know that error messages need to be improved, so I believe they
are receptive to these issues right now.
