Subclipse on MacOSX - "Preference Page Creation Problems"

Hi all,

I have been trying to get subclipse to run within Eclipse for MacOSX,
but I cannot get the preferences to work. When I access the prefs, I get
a message "Unable to create selected preference page", saying "unable to
load class
org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.ui.conflicts.DiffMergePreferencePage"

Other preferences give similar errors.

The trouble started when the Eclipse update system didn't download the
plugin properly. Unfortunately the Eclipse update system seems incapable
of detecting errors and retrying downloads, so I eventually tried to
delete all files containing "org.tigris.*" and tried installing the
plugin from scratch using the "local site" method.

This causes the plugin to install, but the configuration remains broken.

If anybody can suggest a fix (other than delete eclipse and wait for it
to update itself all over again) I would be very grateful.
