Sorry, but that just sounds like some kind of "user error" on your part
within Eclipse. Personally, I also find the Run framework fairly
confusing. I think that it sounds like you did everything right in terms
of Checkout. Just explore this option some more and figure out how to run
your app.

If you have a .project and .classpath file in your repository, then do not
use this option.

I use Subclipse on OS X without problems (thanks to the Metissian
packages).
