adding .project and .cdtproject and than checking out as project worked,
but I don't like putting the files into the repository so maybe it
should be a good idea to get working on a fix for this. Maybe one could
look into the CVS client how they handle this case? I don't know what to
look for...

| That sounds like what happens when the project you are checking out
already
| has a .project file in the repository. Did you try the Checkout As
Project
| option?

| Worst case, you can create a C project then take the .project file and
| check it into your repository so that you can use the Checkout As Project
| option.
