That is exactly what we want: version control operations
entirely from within Eclipse. Christ - that's why I'm asking

Sure. But I'm interested in running wholly within Eclipse, using
Subclipse. C'est Subclipse's raison d'etre, oui?

You're talking Subversion v CVS. I already know Subversion beats
CVS hands down - in many ways. That's not my issue. I want Subclipse
to work properly.
