RE: Subclipse Plugin with WSAD 5.1

Hi Seamus,

I'm using subclipse version 0.9.3.1 with WSAD5.1 + all it's latest updates. SVN version doesn't seem to matter, only subclipse version. As I said, mixed results. works well for me but not at all or partially for others, and I can't really see why except perhaps PATH settings or having SVN installed; perhaps try putting dll files into different directories... (search mailing list archives)

cheers,

Hi Tim,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was curious if you could share what versions of Subversion and Subclipse you were using when things were (at least somewhat) working. Thanks again!

Hi Seamus,

I'm very sorry, but I cannot help you!

I don't know which version you use; but it doesn't look similar to problems I've seen myself. I don't have subclipse running reliably on all computers, and on some computers it gives exceptions trying to use team->share project on existing projects. On others, it works. On yet others, it works only the first time and after restarting WSAD, it stops working...

However, the version I have for WSAD5.1 is quite old and I have no idea if newer versions will still work with WSAD5.1 / Eclipse 2.1.x

Much luck,

Hi Tim,

I just read your post on the Subclipse mailing list archive (where you mentioned that you had gotten the plugin working with WSAD 5.1) and was wondering if you'd be kind enough to take a look at an issue we're having with a similar setup.

Everything works alright when we use WSAD to checkout a project which already exists in our Subversion repository, but adding an existing WSAD project into the repository through the "Team -> Share project..." command will not work. I initially receive an error that reads "Filesystem has no item. svn: URL non-existent in that revision." Assuming this meant there was no folder with the project name, I created one and attempted the import again. This time I received a dialog asking if I'd like to synchronize the project with the existing folder, but when I click yes the subversion wizard closes and nothing gets committed or imported. The command line client works fine as does an import using the TortoiseSVN shell extension. As you have experience in this area, I would greatly appreciate any advice you could offer regarding this issue.

Thank you for your time.
