javahl interface not available

Hello,

after the problems with the locale (my previous post), i try to setup the
javahl bindings for subclipse. (svn1.1.0, subclipse0.9.22, eclipse3.0.1)

I copied the libraries (libsvnjavahl-1.so*) and svn-javahl.jar from subversion
to the subclipse plugin directory. But the svn preferences in eclipse does´t
allow me to activate the javahl bindings. The checkbox error message is
"javahl bindings not available. Check your environment".

I search all the available documentation from the webpage for installation
instruction, but with no luck.

Perhaps someone one the list could help me?

- Where is the proper location for the libraries and the jar file?
- What library name is required for the plugin?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
