Persistent popup irrigation w/ svn+ssh

When using a svn+ssh://... location, The cygwin ssh terminal window pops
up every time I do anything - expand a directory, open a file, commit,
update, list, whatever. Has anybody else had this problem, and what can
I do (if anything) to fix it? Is there work in progress on this
irritating little problem?
