Stephen, I have no idea what problem you're talking about I'm afraid.
We only check out our projects from within Eclipse and don't have any
problems at all. We check our .project and .classpath files into the
repository, and just Check Out and not Check Out As.

Ok, but isn't standard practice to check out using an external svn program
(eg tortoise), and then load the project from the file system to avoid
eclipse problems with creating a project before the checkout?
This is what I have done, so I don't have the repository in the svn view.
However, I will add it and see if that works
