RE: Revision History / Roadmap / Features

Greetings.

Actually I think that synch is high on the priority list. I would also want
the label decorations to work right. Currently if you manipulate the working
copy outside of eclipse and go back in and refresh, the repository doesn't
show the correct label decorations. You should also have the icons on the
label decorations work right. Remember, visual impressions are important.

Id also like to see the ability to show what branch a particular folder is
on. Remember that in subversion you can do an svn switch command on a
subfolder and that switches only that sub folder to the branch.

I think that deep directory checking should be a MUST. However, I think
subclipse has been going about this the wrong way. I dont think you need to
use SVN to do the deep status check but merely check the leaf directories in
the tree and then use ECLIPSE to indicate the folders that have changed.
Merely analyze the sub files and then cache the information and calculate on
that.

Hi Markus.

Subclipse is still in beta(pre-release phase), hence the version not being
1.0 yet. Normally this means the latest version is the version you want as
it has more of everything.

I'm not completely sure but I think the main feature required for 1.0 is
Synchronization. It's been stated on many occasions that subclipse still
does not officially support synchronization (hence you're seeing problems)
although McClain has made great inroads towards it.

Regarding what version to use with svn 1.0.6, again, the latest version
(0.9.20) will suit your needs. Although it's compiled against 1.1rc2 I've
not had any problems running it against 1.0.1 any 1.0.6 and 1.1rc3 on
Windows(XP), and against 1.0.1 on Linux.

Greg.

Subject: Revision History / Roadmap / Features

Hi there,

I'm new to svn and subclipse. I tried my very best but I can't figure out
which version of subclipse provides which feature and requires which release
of subversion.

Is there a roadmap which lists the currently implemented (and working)
features of subclipse and the ones which are about be implemented?

I'm wondering what version of subclipse to use with the version 1.06 of svn.

I'm getting problems on using subclipse on svn 1.06 within Team Synchonize.

regards Markus
