Hi, I'm new to the list, but have been using subclipse for some time,
on both OS X and Windows. My feelings on the matter as an end user is
that I'll install svn if necessary, but would prefer not to. I can
use CVS from eclipse without needing the CVS binaries, so I would
expect that from an SVN plugin. Furthermore, I don't use the SVN
binaries, so I would probably forget about them, not update them,
etc., and I'd hate to have version mismatches between what the plugin
expects and what the binaries on my system provide. However, I'd
imagine all this equals a pain for the developers, so I'll be happy
with whatever I get.
