Subclipse in WSAD 5.1 (Eclipse 2.1)

Hi there.

I'm trying to introduce subversion to a development team in a heavy IBM
shop. They are using WebSphere and WSAD 5.1, which is based on Eclipse
2.1, and I have little likelihood of moving them away from that any time
soon...

Can anyone give me any pointers to getting the subclipse plugin working
with WSAD 5.1 or Eclipse 2.1? I tried using the tigris update url and it
failed, but this may be due to their firewall (a Windows-authenticated
http proxy). If the update url should Just Work (TM), does anyone know
how to get Eclipse to play nice with an authenticated proxy, or how to
download the plugin as a regular zip file?

Until then I'm stuck with ClearCase, and that's just plain wrong!
