I would just add that the issue is that it was not until M8 and M9 that
the Eclipse team rolled out all of the new API's for the Synchronize and
Compare views for team providers. They essentially took those nice
features of the CVS integration and rebuilt them to be an API that the CVS
stuff is then built on top of. The downside is that it introduced a lot
of new API that is not fully documented yet and breaks old code. But the
upside is great in that there is now a solid framework for tools like
Subclipse to build upon and be integrated just as nicely as CVS.

It will just take a while to learn the new API, which I am not sure there
are even good docs for yet, let alone write the code to implement it.

That being said, the rest of the stuff all still works.
