        I've never gotten package renaming to work with just a straight
refactoring operation. What I usually do is create a new empty package, add
the directory to Subversion, then commit. Then, I use Eclipse to move the
affected classes into the new package, then commit. Then, I delete the old
package from Subversion and commit.

        A few extra steps, but it works reliably.
