Question about binaries

Since I have problems compiling svnup, which is the base for subclipse
according to the docs

(the configure bombs on me with the message
>checking for xlC... no
>checking for C++ compiler default output... configure: error: C++ compiler
>cannot create executables) which is probably my fault,
)

I wanted to ask the question does anybody who reads this list already have a
binary (preferrable a deb for debian sid) of eclipsesvn? I really would be
interested to get this thing up and running on Linux.
