It seems like I sent this message too soon and it require some
additional clarification. Here is the screenshot of the current revision
chooser UI used on "compare with branch" dialog. I've marked revision
chooser panel, which currently have too many borders around. That is
what I inappropriately referred as ridiculous in my previous email,
please don't take that comment personally, I was only meant that UI is
little too crowded:
An alternative UI for revision selection panel could use the same idea
as in compact location selection panel used in several places in
Eclipse, which doesn't require additional grouping. Here is how it may
look in the UI (though not on the same dialog):
Hopefully that is more clear.
