So are you saying that is what you are trying to fix? The menu options
that are shown in this specific scenario? It seems like you are being
defensive, and if so, I assure you that I am not "questioning" the need
for improvements. If the above scenario is what you are trying to fix
then the patch could have simply included text to the effect of:

"When using multi-level externals, the intermediate folders created by
Subversion have menu options enabled that it should not. This patch
removes x, y, and z. I'd like to do a, b, and c but cannot yet".

Back to the patch, when I do what you asked, I get the same menu in each
case. Since you do not say what I should see or not see, I do not really
know what else to say.
