I wasn't, but i just had another very quick go and it looks like you can
remove the status refresh from the add command entirely. Because it is
running in the operation manger it will refresh the .svn directories
that have changed which will trigger updates to the statuses of the
contained folders. It is still slow, but it is a bit quicker than
before. It took about 1 minute to add 4000 (empty) files in 41 directories.
