It seems like the Synch view might make this easier? Also, if the commit
dialog contained the list of files being committed, as Tortoise does,
would that help? Or did you need to be able to access the content of the
source?

I agree this would be nice. I also struggle with that.

I do not use Externals, but these sound good. Perhaps a special folder
decorator for externals? I am not sure about some of the other stuff. I
would have to say that these sound like post 1.0 features.
