My take on is that subclipse is clearly in alpha/beta state (as
reflected by the fact that we've not released anything claiming to be
1.0). perhaps we should make this fact more prominent on the index
page as not to confuse users.

Eclipse also has lots of fancy roll-back functionality (which
hopefully works), so users should be able to recover from bad drops.

Obviously the 2 site idea is a good one, but maybe after we have a stable 1.0.

That being said, now that i think of it, it wouldn't be _that_ hard to
do, but then ppl would have to keep track of 2 sites, and downgrading
from an update site is ludicrously hard (you cant, you have to
completely clean out your original install).
