RE: linux build

Hi,

I'd love to see a windows-version that works with E3-M3 btw... Of course I
know that E3 is a running target still so any version for E3-M4 will break
with E3-M4 etc...

It really wasn't too bad, once I got javahl compiling. That in itself was a
fairly major feat, as very few of the build scripts worked out of the box.

As for the subclipse project, there are some major questions that need to be

answered before my patches will become useful.

1. I built it on m3. m3 doesn't have TeamImages, or the runWhileBusy calls
anymore, I just commented them out, as they didn't seem that critical.
Porting the plugin manifest wasn't a big deal, eclipse took care of most of
it automatically with some gentle nudging.

2. the ant scripts have hardcoded windowsisms throughout, and generally
aren't
very resillient. Due to the reliance on libjavahl and libdb4, these scripts

will have to be totally reworked to function properly in a cross-platform
way.

3. my work doesn't support ssl. I'm not a jni hacker, so i couldn't say if
we
could just shim in the openssl libraries (I'm guessing no). Neither do I
know
anything about the SSLeay packages.

In any event, it really does work on linux (what i've tried doing anyway),
and
I will submit my patches at some point tomorrow.

This may be a good opportunity to test out svn branches...
