I would like to roll the new patch releases soon -- let's say within a week. Is anyone likely to be able to review the backport below or any others?
I'm thinking to go ahead whatever, as there are already plenty of good fixes waiting to be released, but as always it would be *nice* to get more fixes in, hence this nudge.
