Ah! Yes, that is already implemented. So it is less work than
implementing some new negotiation mechanism. That might be good enough
although it does mean that the repository must have revprop changes
enabled.

I'm a bit relucant to use them because I'm not altogether happy with the
way they are removed from the transaction before we know whether the
commit will succeed.
