Crash still happening in 1.8.1

Another crash that's climbing up the ranks in the crash reports is one

I tried to get some info from the crash dumps, tried several updates
with non-ascii urls and path names but honestly I'm lost here. The crash
dumps seem to contain bogus info which doesn't make any sense to me.

Maybe one of you guys has an idea here.
