Questions before applying for GSOC

Hello, everyone. I'm a GSOC volunteer for Subversion.

I have prepared for this work just one month ago. I have browsed the
document on the subversion website, such as "Subversion Design" and
"HACKING", also read the main .h files. Besides, I have built
subvesion source code and run the .c and .py test cases on Ubuntu.

I have asked questions about GSOC ideas on IRC, but got any response,
maybe as Gavin advised "Everyone within the development 'team' is
really busy at the moment with finishing off tasks required for the
1.7 release." I suppose maybe it's better to ask questions in mailing
list before applying to get more information.

My questions:

1.) Which ideas will be accepted? I have searched on
'http://subversion.tigris.org/', but haven't got any closely
information.

2.) Who will be the mentors this GSOC?

As this Friday is the deadline for students applying, please give some
advice, thanks!

Regards
