Problem still exists with GNOME keyring and JavaHL

Senthil/Julian,

I finally got a chance to test this backport, built on Ubuntu 9.10.

* r39692
Fix issue #3498: Subversion password stores freeze Eclipse
  Justification:
All subclipse users are in great need of this.
  Branch:
Resolves a minor conflict in libsvn_auth_gnome_keyring/gnome_keyring.c
where the code changed was refactored on trunk.
    ^/branches/1.6.x-r39692

I actually merged the branch into current 1.6.x to test it. It does
seem to make things "better" but I do not think it is really fixed. I
was optimistic at first, but in digging deeper I still get errors,
including Eclipse crashing. See log.

All the problems came when using Show History option from Subclipse.
A couple times I got a Java Exception, and one time it crashed.
Sometimes it also worked. No idea why.

The Java Exception did not have anything so helpful I feel the need to
paste it. If I could guess what it was saying, I would think that
maybe some GUI action was going to happen inside of our JNI thread and
something did not like that. I seem to recall this being a problem
before. That said, I did successfully get the GNOME UI prompt to
allow access to the keyring the very first time I did something.

So I really do not know what to tell you, other than that I could not
add the +1 to the backport that I had been hoping for.
