Enhancement request: versions for perl bindings

From: Colin Fine <colin.fine_at_pace.com>

Looking at the Perl bindings at
http://svn.collab.net/viewvc/svn/trunk/subversion/bindings/swig/perl/native/,
I'm surprised to find that none of the Perl modules appears to have any
version information, either in the Perldoc or as a VERSION method.

I would like to argue for including a VERSION method, to return the
version of Subversion, in case my scripts know that they need a certain
version.

It would also be useful when looking at the Perldoc: we have Svn
installed on several servers, and they will not always be at the same
version. I may look at perldoc in any convenient terminal window, so it
would be useful to be able to see the version there.
