That sounds really cool!
Moreover, will work perfectly as the backend for my host integrity monitoring, if I move .svn to some secured directory.
At the moment I cache the .svn , and restore it every time i want to make some change to SVN repo. I need to make that as I want the working copies
to be perfectly 'transparent' for the end users, so they can move and rsync directories freely and do not care/know about .svn .

The external .svn admin dirs would solve all my 'caching' problems and make SVN even better then it is now.
