May repository take the initiative to update some client?

Dear sir,

We need a client to receive modifications from repository automatically
while other clients may commit. We don't want to use a slavery repository
because of its file structure.
So the repository need to update the specified client when other
client commits. How can we realize this? Or if there is a check-outed client
list in repository server?
Your reply will be appreciated!

Thanks,
 Kevin
