No need to fret, I'm trying to incorporate everything into the
designdoc -- that's where multiple ideas should come to rest and
ultimately get evaluated. The point of the designdoc is that it gives
us specific cases to debate about, rather than endlessly hand-waving
and speaking about a multitude of broad goals. :-)
