I can reproduce the problem as you describe it, even with svnsync-trunk.
 The problem seems to be on the server side, and more precisely a
corrupt revision.

If you are able to make the repository available for download somewhere,
maybe someone can fix the revision data for you. Have a look at this web
page for more info, maybe you can even fix it yourself:
http://www.szakmeister.net/fsfsverify/

Note that the error mentioned on that webpage is not the same as what
you're encountering.
