Could you elaborate on this? What hooks you can use in CVS to solve your
problem? That sounds like you don't need to make core code changes
to achieve what you want in CVS. Maybe we can add this CVS feature
you use to solve your problem to Subversion? It certainly sounds useful.

That sounds much like the "wrapped svn client solution" which
has already been proposed in this thread. If that's fine with
CVS, why isn't it fine with Subversion?
