I believe it has not been fixed, and Kari has managed to get it down to
a pretty minimal (and readable) reproduction script. Kari, if you could
file an issue about this, linking to this thread and attaching the
reproduction script, that would be great.

I don't know whether it will be hard to fix or not. It might be easy;
have a try at patching it too if you want. I wish I could, but I'm
working on other stuff at the moment.
