Hi,
May I express my ideas ?
1.) May be shorten it to show only date information
or
2.) Given an option on %AppData%\subversion\config or svnserve.conf
to allow users decide whether to show or not.
A console on GUI-based linux and windows have option to allow
wider characters to displayed on screen.
( Yes, althrough there are few people using GUI console)

Subject: Too much information in diff header?
: I'm wondering if our diff headers (the ones from 'svnlook diff', that
: is, the diff headers we see in commit emails) really need the date:
:
: --- .../libsvn_wc/copy.c Thu Jul 3 05:39:41 2008 (r31986)
: +++ .../libsvn_wc/copy.c Thu Jul 3 07:28:08 2008 (r31987)
:
: If I hadn't shortened the path above, those date headers would push
: off the right edge of an 80-column screen. In our real commit emails,
: they virtually always do. It's not a big problem, but it makes things
: a bit harder to read, and adds (IMHO) no useful information. After
: all, the revision number is right there anyway.
:
: What if we took the dates out? Would there be a compatibility concern?
: Is anyone *really* using them? :-)
