It turns out I'm not gone, so I've looked at the other ra layers. I
don't see the same problem, but I also don't seen any limit
compatibility short-cutting like in ra_neon. That could be a bug, but
given the lack of bug reports, and the 3+ years since 1.2.0 was
released, I'm inclined not to worry about it.
