I do not know if it is related, but JavaHL tests on current 1.5.x
branch also have a failure:

1) testBasicMerge(org.tigris.subversion.javahl.BasicTests)junit.framework.AssertionFailedError:
Notification of beginning of merge reported incorrect start revision
expected:<2> but was:<null>

This sounds like the notifications have possibly changed and the tests
need to be updated? I am in the process of cleaning and building
again but thought I would report it in case others are seeing it.
