Hi Julian,

It's probably obvious that I disagree with waiting, since I suggested
RC2, but I'll come right out and say it: I disagree :-)

Keep in mind that RC1 *never* got enough votes to be made "officially"
public. I'm going on record as -1 for releasing it too, it's simply
broken.

If RC1 had been approved and released for wider testing then I might
agree with you. But it never got to that point.

And not that procedure is everything, but I just looked at HACKING
again and I don't see how quickly going to RC2 in any way violates our
own policies either.
