svn log -g doesn't include mergeinfo from child entries

Current log -g only outputs "Merged via" information if the
corresponding mergeinfo is present at the logged entry itself. mergeinfo
from child entries is not included. Is that intended?

I'm asking because my last experiments with log -g (from October 2007)
brought complete mergeinfo here when logging the repository root (and I
couldn't find a thread on changing this). I'm using Alpha 2 from March, 3rd.
